Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal data The Times of Talent collects, why, and what choices you have. It applies to thetimesoftalent.com, our newsletter, our quizzes and our interactive You & AI cases.
Who we are. The controller is Autoris LLC, 1 Mifflin Place, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA. Contact: editors@thetimesoftalent.com.
What we collect.
- Subscription data. Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it, when you subscribe or create a member account.
- Newsletter data. Whether an email was delivered and opened and which links were clicked, so we can see which topics serve our readers.
- Quiz data. Your answers, used to calculate your score and show your personal report on the page. Subscribing to the newsletter from a quiz is a separate choice you make with its own checkbox.
- You & AI data. The answer you pick in a case and, if you write one, your reasoning. If you add reasoning, an AI model reads it and writes a reply that appears on the page. We store your answer, your reasoning and the reply without your name, email address or IP address. To prevent abuse, we keep a one-way coded version of your IP address, which changes daily, for two days. Please don't enter names or other personal details in the box.
- Usage data. Aggregated page views, referring sites and device types from the analytics built into our publishing platform. This data does not identify you personally.
- Google Analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how you arrived (for example from a LinkedIn post) and whether you continue to autoris.com, the website of our publisher. IP addresses are shortened before storage. You can decline, and your choice is stored for twelve months.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email, such as corrections, pitches or questions.
Why we use it. To publish the site, send the newsletter, show quiz results, reply to your You & AI reasoning, manage member accounts, answer messages, improve our content and keep the site secure. For readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, our legal bases are your consent (newsletter, Google Analytics), the performance of our agreement with you (member account, quiz results, the AI reply you request in a You & AI case) and our legitimate interest in running and improving the publication (built-in platform analytics, anonymous case statistics, delivery of fonts and site features, security, correspondence).
Service providers. We work with trusted providers who process data on our behalf:
- Ghost (Ghost Foundation) for hosting, member management, analytics and newsletter delivery, including its email delivery partner
- Google Analytics (Google LLC), only with your consent, to measure which articles readers value and how they move between The Times of Talent and autoris.com
- Netlify for the quiz application and the consent notice
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) for the typefaces of this site; your browser loads them from Google's servers, which receive your IP address
- jsDelivr for the sign-up window and site search
- Supabase for storing You & AI answers and running the reply function
- Anthropic (Anthropic PBC) for the AI model that writes the You & AI replies; it receives only the case, your chosen answer and your reasoning, and under its commercial terms does not use this text to train its models
We do not sell or rent personal data.
Cookies. We use the cookies needed to run the site and keep members signed in. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics cookies to measure how readers use the site. The analytics built into our publishing platform works without cookies. You can change your analytics choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; the consent notice will then appear again.
International transfers. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data. Subscription data for as long as you subscribe, plus a short period to process your unsubscribe. Quiz answers are used to produce your report and are not added to your subscriber record. You & AI answers, reasoning and replies for twelve months, after which they are deleted automatically. Google Analytics data for 14 months. Messages for as long as needed to handle them.
Your choices and rights. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter with one click and manage your account in the member portal. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Readers in the EEA and UK may also complain to their data protection authority. Write to editors@thetimesoftalent.com and we will respond promptly.
Security. Data travels over encrypted connections, and access is limited to people who need it.
Children. The Times of Talent is written for professionals and is intended for readers aged 16 and over.
Changes. We may update this policy as our services evolve. The date above shows the latest version.
